Hey everyone,
I've been thinking about the circumstances surrounding Clyde Donald Stanley's death, and something that's been on my mind is why it took so long to connect Robert James Parks to the case. I know investigative techniques were different back in the '80s, but it just seems like such a long time before anyone was linked to Clyde's murder. I can't help but wonder if there were missed opportunities in those early days that could've brought some peace to his loved ones sooner.
Does anyone know if there were ever any formal reviews of the investigation, especially considering Parks wasn't identified until 2013? It's really tragic that Clyde's family went so many years without answers and even more frustrating that the person named as a suspect can't be brought to justice. The toll this must've taken on them is unimaginable.
Would love to hear any insights or thoughts.
Has anyone else looked into the connection between Clyde Donald Stanley and Robert James Parks? It's so puzzling to think how Stanley's case went cold for so long, and then when they finally piece some of it together, the alleged suspect, Parks, had already taken his own life. I'm curious about what evidence specifically led them to name Parks as a suspect in 2013, long after his death. It must be incredibly frustrating for Clyde's family to finally get a name, yet know there's no chance for justice or answers from that person. I hope they find some peace knowing that at least a part of the mystery has been unraveled.
