Hey all,
I've been following Kapri Bailey’s case out of Oklahoma City, and something that's been on my mind is the role that social media could play in her search. It feels like tools like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram could really amplify efforts, maybe even reach someone who saw something but didn't realize it at the time.
I’m wondering how many of you think about using social media in these cases. Does anyone here have experience or suggestions on ways to effectively share missing person posts to keep them in the public eye? Sometimes it’s hard to know how to help, but this seems like a simple step we could take as a community.
Curious about your thoughts or any advice you might have!
Stay safe, and fingers crossed for Kapri’s safe return.
Has anyone else noticed the lack of media coverage on Kapri Bailey's case? It's been a few weeks since she went missing, and it feels like there's minimal attention from the press. With the Oklahoma Missing Persons Clearinghouse involved and her case listed in NamUs, you'd think there would be more of a push to get her story out there. It's frustrating when other cases get national headlines, but someone like Kapri, who could really benefit from public awareness, isn't getting the same level of attention. Does anyone have any insight into why this might be, or know of any local efforts to boost her case visibility? Maybe we need to brainstorm ways to increase social media outreach or get in touch with journalists who cover missing persons. Every bit helps in getting her face and story to as many people as possible. Thoughts?
