Hey everyone, Maria Chavez's murder case has been stuck in my mind lately. I read that an anonymous letter was sent to the police with a map and her wristwatch, which led them to find her. I can’t imagine what it was like for her family getting that news. What baffles me is why someone would come forward like that but still stay anonymous? Were they involved, or just scared? It’s so frustrating knowing that it's been over 30 years and Maria’s family still doesn’t have answers. I keep hoping someone with information will finally come forward. Anyone else have thoughts on why the sender remained anonymous, or theories about who it might have been?
