Has anyone else been following the Phyllis Potter case from Westfield, PA? It’s been quite a shock to the community. Something that strikes me about her disappearance is how technology (or the lack thereof) played such a pivotal role. It's imperative to realize just how vulnerable we can be without a phone or GPS. Phyllis drove off that morning without either, and it seemed to have hampered search efforts right from the start. It's scary to think how we rely on these devices daily for safety and connectivity. With advancements in tech, you’d think cases would be easier to solve, but this is a sobering reminder that it's still a significant challenge in rural areas. The community really pulled together with search parties and drone teams to try and find her. It's touching to see so many people come forward to help, but I can't help but wonder if things might have been different with just a bit more tech on her side.
