I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact that this senseless violence must have had on Mimi's daughter, who was only two when her mother was tragically taken. Growing up without her mom by her side must have been incredibly difficult. She would have missed Mimi's guidance, love, and support as she navigated through life. My heart really goes out to her and the rest of Mimi's family, who have had to deal with this unimaginable loss for all these years. It’s deeply frustrating that such a promising life was cut short due to such reckless violence, and justice still remains elusive. I hope that one day those responsible will be held accountable so that Mimi's family can find some semblance of peace.
