It's truly devastating to hear about Derrwin Morgan's senseless murder. I can't imagine what his family and friends must be going through right now. I've been following this case and couldn't help but reflect on the broader issue of gun accessibility and how it ties into the tragedies we're seeing in Memphis. It seems like every other day we're hearing about another person lost to gun violence in the city. I remember reading about similar community calls to action in other cities, and I wonder what can realistically be done to tackle these issues at their roots. Support for local programs and creating new opportunities for young people could be vital in steering things in a better direction. It's a heavy topic, but I'd love to hear what others think might help break this devastating cycle. Derrwin deserved a future, just like every other victim out there. His death shouldn't be in vain.
