I've been reading up on the tragic case of Father Louis Gutierrez, and something that really strikes me is the courage it must have taken for his companion priest to rush into what could've been a dangerous situation after hearing the crash. It's incredibly sad to think about what he must have experienced, finding his colleague and friend like that. It also makes me wonder why there wasn't any immediate follow-up on leads from nearby hotels or residents who might've seen something suspicious. With Father Gutierrez being such a beloved community figure, you would hope more witnesses would have come forward back then. The case is still unsolved, and I genuinely hope that justice can eventually be served for him and his loved ones. If anyone out there knows anything, even the smallest detail could make a huge difference.
