I’ve been thinking a lot about the Roma Mart gas station's role in this terrible incident involving Royces “Cici” Givens. It seems she was in a familiar spot for many FedEx workers during those early hours. I can’t help but wonder if there were any surveillance cameras at the station that could have deterred the shooting or at least provided more immediate leads for the police. It's really concerning how this kind of violence could happen so suddenly, yet without more concrete evidence coming to light right away. It also makes me think about our own neighborhood spots and whether they provide a false sense of security. Do any locals have insight on whether businesses around South Memphis have ramped up security since this tragedy? It’d be a small comfort to know Cici’s death might help prevent similar future crimes. Thoughts and love to her family and friends dealing with this unimaginable loss.

I've been thinking a lot about the responsibility Roma Mart might have in all this. It's so upsetting to hear what happened to Royces Givens, and I can't help but question the security measures in place at the gas station where she was killed. I mean, it's a known stop for FedEx employees, and yet, this tragedy still occurred. It's hard not to wonder if more could have been done to prevent it. Were there sufficient cameras? Adequate lighting? Anyone in charge of keeping an eye on things? In situations like this, it's vital to consider whether businesses are doing enough to safeguard their patrons. I hope the investigation sheds some light on this aspect because it might prevent future incidents. My heart really goes out to Cici's family and friends—I can't imagine what they're going through. Let's hope justice brings some peace to everyone affected.

Hi everyone, I’ve been following this case closely, like many of you, and there’s something that’s been on my mind. I wanted to talk about the impact of Royces “Cici” Givens’ murder on her colleagues at FedEx. It’s just so devastating to think how someone everyone described as hardworking and cheerful could be taken away so abruptly. I can only imagine how it must feel for her coworkers who used to stop by the Roma Mart for a quick break after those long overnight shifts. Now, that place must carry a heavy weight of sadness and fear. I’ve read that some have even altered their routines, choosing different places to stop because the memory is too painful. It’s gut-wrenching to think about the ripple effects of this tragedy on a close-knit community. I hope the company continues to support the employees as they navigate this difficult time. It seems like they’ve already made a statement expressing condolences, but emotional support and resources for dealing with trauma must be ongoing. It’s unimaginable to deal with the loss of someone you worked with side by side every day. How do you all think workplaces can better support their employees in such circumstances? Would love to hear your thoughts and if you know of any positive examples of companies stepping up. Sending thoughts to everyone affected by this tragic loss.
