I can’t stop thinking about Sulema Luna Tornez and the lack of closure for her family. It’s been over six years since her body was discovered, yet there seems to be little movement on her case. It makes me wonder about the role of community involvement in these cold cases. I recently read that community tips can make all the difference, even if they seem insignificant at the time. But how do we encourage people to come forward? There’s got to be someone out there who knows something about what happened to Sulema. It’s so important to keep her story alive, to remind people that she's not forgotten. I hope the Cold Case Unit won't give up and continues using all available resources to bring justice for Sulema and her family. They deserve to know the truth about what happened that awful day in 2017. Does anyone else have ideas about how communities can work alongside law enforcement to solve cases like this?
