Hey everyone, I've been following the discussions here and wanted to bring up something that keeps bothering me about DQ Alexander's case. The fact that this tragedy happened so close to LeMoyne-Owen College is really concerning. It's supposed to be a place where students feel safe and focused on building their futures, but instead, the surrounding area seems to be gripped by fear and violence. I've read some local articles suggesting that the college has tried to implement more security measures, but it feels like there's so much more that needs to be done community-wide. It's heartbreaking to think about what DQ and others could have achieved if only they'd been given the chance. How do we even begin to address these systemic issues that let these crimes keep happening? If anyone in this forum is from the area or knows more about the steps being taken, I'd love to hear your thoughts. We all want justice for DQ, but it seems like there’s a larger struggle here that needs urgent attention.
