Has anyone else been following the comments from Uti Makasini's local community back in Redwood, California? The outpouring of grief and support from everyone there and in the Tongan community abroad is palpable. It's so moving how people are coming together to celebrate his life and demand justice for him. It sounds like he was truly loved and respected by so many people, making this senseless act even more difficult to comprehend. I've seen mentions of community events being organized in both Redwood and Memphis to honor his memory and raise awareness about the case. These kinds of efforts are so important—not just for Uti's family, who deserve answers, but to make it clear that violence like this affects so many beyond just the immediate circle. It makes me hope that someone with information will feel compelled to step forward. Does anyone have more information on these organizing efforts or know how those outside of the immediate community can offer support? It feels necessary to amplify these voices and ensure Uti receives the justice he deserves.
