I've been following the tragic case of Gitem Demissie, and my heart goes out to his family and the tight-knit Ethiopian community in Nashville. It's truly devastating how someone so beloved could have been lost in such a senseless act of violence. I keep thinking about the bravery of his brother, Zalalem Amare, and how excruciating it must be to publicly relive this tragedy while pleading for justice. I really hope that someone with crucial information will come forward. It's hard to imagine how difficult it must be for the family to wake up every day without answers. I was just reading about Gitem Demissie's case again, and I keep thinking about his loved ones. It must be so incredibly difficult for his family, especially his brother, Zalalem. Gitem seemed like a really important figure in Nashville's Ethiopian community, and it just doesn’t feel right that this case is still unsolved.
