Has anyone else been following the case of Calvin Smith in North Memphis? I'm so saddened by what happened to him. I know we don't have all the details yet, but seeing how his family and friends have gathered around the memorial page says so much about the kind of person he was. Thirty-six candles have been lit in his honor—each one representing someone's love and memory of him. It just goes to show how one life touches so many others, and it's clear from the outpouring of support that Calvin was cherished. I can't help but think about his family and the pain they're facing right now. Losing a loved one to such senseless violence is beyond devastating. It really brings to light the issues of gun violence that plague our communities. Sending thoughts to everyone who knew him. Let's keep holding onto hope for change so our communities can become safer and stronger.
