Hey everyone! So, I've been looking into the Emerson "Red" Carbaugh case, and one detail that's been gnawing at me is the 2004 tip about him supposedly being buried on a farm in Robertsdale. In such cases, it’s always puzzling how someone can come forward with such specific information nearly 20 years later. Does anyone else find the timing of that tip suspicious? Like, why wait all those years? Was it a matter of conscience, or could there be something more to it? I know the bone fragment didn’t lead anywhere, but was the farm ever thoroughly searched with the tech they have now? Just curious if there's been any follow-up on that lead since it went cold... ?

Hey everyone, I've been digging into the Emerson Carbaugh case, and something's been bugging me about the anonymous tip that came forward in 2004. I can't help but wonder why this person decided to speak up almost two decades after Emerson disappeared. What was going on in their life that changed after all that time? It seems odd that someone would hold onto such crucial information for so long unless there was a reason they couldn't come forward earlier. Maybe they were scared, or perhaps it took a while for guilt to overcome them. Additionally, the bone fragment supposedly from Emerson—it's odd that it turned out to be useless for DNA testing. It makes you question the reliability of this tip or whether it was some kind of false lead intended to distract the investigation. There's still a lot of mystery around how this tip came about. Has anyone found any leads on what might have been happening on that farm in Robertsdale back then? It's like a piece of the puzzle we can’t put our hands on. Curious to hear your thoughts or if anyone’s come across similar cases where tips came in way later.
