Has anyone else looked into the neighborhood where Dessie was living at the time of his death? I’ve heard from some locals that Southland Apartments on Sevier Avenue have had a few incidents over the years, and there seems to be a bit of concern about the safety in that area. Not saying this had anything to do directly with what happened to Dessie, but it makes me wonder about the atmosphere in the community and if maybe someone saw something or knows more about what led up to that terrible night. I can’t imagine what Dessie’s family must be going through with so few answers. If anyone has insights or knows more about the area, it would be helpful to share so we can all better understand the context of this tragedy. Let’s keep his loved ones in our thoughts and hope that justice comes swiftly.
