Hey everyone, I was reading about Maria Gabriela Medina's case from 1989, and something caught my attention that I hadn't seen mentioned much. Maria was last seen in a pretty bustling area of downtown LA, right? The spot she was working at and the one she hoped to find a new job weren't exactly hidden away. It's curious to me that no one seemed to have noticed anything, especially given the time of day—1:00 p.m., when it's usually busy with people. Has anyone looked into whether there were any known incidents or suspicious activities in that area around March 3, 1989? Maybe there were other crimes or missing persons cases that could somehow connect to what happened to Maria. Just putting it out there in case it leads to something. Thoughts?
I was recently reading about Maria Gabriela Medina's case and something caught my attention that I haven't seen many people mention. I read that she was heading out to look for more work in the area around 9th Street on the day she disappeared. Has anyone ever talked about the employment offices or businesses in that area from back in 1989? It makes me wonder if someone at one of those spots might have seen her or maybe even have some information that got overlooked. I know it's been a long time, and a lot could've changed, but perhaps old records or former employees might remember something helpful. Any locals from LA or history buffs out there who might have insights on what businesses were around that area at the time?
I've been thinking a lot about Maria Gabriela Medina's disappearance back in '89, especially about that area around 9th Street and Los Angeles Street where she was last headed. Does anyone know what this neighborhood was like back then? I'm curious if there were known issues or high crime rates around that time that could give us a better idea of what might have happened. It seems like a pretty busy area, so it's odd that no one saw anything. If there were others job-hunting there too, maybe someone might remember seeing her or something strange. It's been so long, but maybe someone out there knows something—anything—that could finally give her family some answers.
