I've been thinking about Jason Anderson and the tragic event at the Carolina Pet Center back in '96. Something that really stands out to me is how random and senseless this all seems. A young man's life was cut short and another was gravely injured, all during a robbery at a place that should be filled with joy and companionship, not violence.
It frustrates me how someone could commit such a horrific act and seemingly disappear into thin air. I can't imagine the pain his family must still feel, not knowing who did this to Jason and why. The fact that the case is still open just goes to show that there’s still hope, and maybe, just maybe, someone out there holds the missing piece of information that could finally bring some answers.
If anyone here is from the area or remembers anything unusual from that time, please consider reaching out to the authorities. Even the smallest detail could make all the difference. Sending love and strength to the Anderson and Rollins families. I hope they find the justice and peace they deserve.

Has anyone ever looked into whether there were any similar robberies in the area around the time Jason Anderson was killed? It’s been so many years, but I can't help but think there might be a pattern or some prior incidents that could give us clues. With Kyle Rollins being seriously injured, it's clear the robbers were reckless and desperate, which might mean they hit other places too.
