Has anyone else looked into the area around the 1900 block of Baker Road where Hazel Ruth Smith was last seen? I find it odd that there haven't been more witness accounts or any surveillance footage, even from nearby businesses, despite it being a somewhat busy area. It's understandable that technology wasn't as advanced back in 1993, but you'd think there would have been something captured given the time of day she was last seen. It makes me wonder if there were any construction or changes in the neighborhood around that time which might have influenced witness availability or visibility. Could this possibly have impacted any initial investigation efforts? Any local historians here who might have more insight into what Baker Road was like back then? ?
