Hey everyone, I’ve always found it puzzling that Charles Daniel Edmonds Jr.’s Ford Bronco was found with all his hiking gear and sleeping bag still inside. If he was setting out on a trek, why didn’t he take them with him? Leaving those essential items behind makes me wonder if he intended to come back or if something unexpected occurred. Given his experience as a hiker, I imagine he'd be aware of the necessity of such gear, especially when heading into areas like Diamond Fork Canyon. His choice of clothing also seems pretty standard for outdoor activities, so it really seems like he initially planned to stay close to his vehicle. Does anyone else think there might be more to why he left them behind? Was it a spur-of-the-moment decision, or could there have been a reason he expected to return quickly? It’s one of those little details that’s been bugging me. Curious if anyone else has any theories or insights! — CuriousInUtah

Hey everyone, just wanted to bring up something about Charles Daniel Edmonds Jr.'s case that's been on my mind. I remember reading that his Ford Bronco was found abandoned in Santaquin Canyon with his sleeping bag and hiking gear still inside. It makes me wonder why he would leave behind gear crucial for hiking, especially given his experience in the outdoors. Could it have been a sign that he didn’t plan on being gone long? Or did something unexpected happen that led him away from his belongings? Maybe someone with knowledge about hiking or camping could offer insight into why someone would leave gear behind like that.
