It’s been over two decades since Victor Manuel Mendez vanished without a trace, and I find it curious how there seems to be little to no discussion on whether he might have been using his alias "Victor Manuel Olivares" at the time of his disappearance. Has anyone looked into whether he possibly used this alias more frequently than we realize? It could be a lead that hasn't been exhaustively explored. Sometimes, cases like these have roots deeper than they appear, and aliases can indicate connections or attempts to start over. If anyone has connections or insights into local East LA what's the word around the community back then regarding "Olivares"? Maybe someone recalled something significant they didn't realize related to this name? Would love to hear thoughts!
Has anyone looked into the neighborhood around Victor's residence in East LA at that time? Considering how close-knit some community networks can be, there might have been someone who noticed something unusual the day he disappeared. Sometimes, revisiting those neighborhoods and talking to long-time residents can open up a fresh perspective. I wonder if there was any local construction or utility work that could have cameras or logs that might still exist - even after all these years. You never know, someone might just remember seeing him or his car from that day!
