Hi everyone, I've been following Jane Elizabeth Bui’s case for some time now, and I find the insurance payment attempt by her boyfriend very puzzling. Has anyone else looked into how common it is for people to falsely claim someone has been institutionalized? It just seems like an odd move, especially considering it was made shortly after her disappearance. Did he think this would somehow buy him more time to cover up something? Or was it simply a ploy to access her financial assets? If anyone has seen similar cases or has insights into why someone might do this, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Let's hope something surfaces soon that helps bring her family some much-needed answers.
Does anyone else find it suspicious that Jane's boyfriend tried to handle her insurance claiming she was "institutionalized"? I mean, if there was zero evidence supporting that claim, why take such a drastic step? It feels like he might have been covering his tracks or maybe even trying to benefit financially somehow. It's odd that this seems like it could be a pretty significant clue, but there doesn't seem to be much public info about whether it was looked into thoroughly. Plus, the fact that her vehicle turned up months later with someone else driving it adds another layer of mystery. It's almost like there are pieces to this puzzle that just aren't fitting together. What are your thoughts on the boyfriend's involvement?
