Hey everyone, I've been reading through the threads about Mathews, and something's been on my mind. Did anyone have a chance to dig into her time working as a geologist with the Forest Service? It seems like there might be some clues there. Maybe she had a deep connection to the land or specific locations that could have drawn her off the beaten path during her hike? I keep wondering if there's a favorite or secret spot she might have gone to in Verde Valley, possibly one that was significant to her geological work? It's so curious that there are no signs of foul play or solid leads. Maybe diving deeper into her work could uncover something that was overlooked. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts or if someone has any info about geologists' typical areas of interest in that region.

I've been following the Mathews case for a while, and something just doesn’t sit right with me about her hiking plans. It's odd that her husband didn’t accompany her since they had recently been checking out retirement spots together. Usually, couples in that stage of life spend a lot of time together planning their future. Could he have had a detailed itinerary or mentioned why he wasn't joining her on that hike? Also, Kingswood Way is quite a distance from Verde Valley, isn’t it? I wonder if anyone saw her leaving the area, or what her neighbors might recall about that day. Did she have a favorite trail there? Maybe she was familiar with hidden paths that others might not have known about. It's like she vanished into thin air... Has anyone found clues near those trails?
