On a Saturday afternoon, February 21, 1998, 48-year-old Elizabeth Mathews left her home in Flagstaff, Arizona, for a walk and was never seen again. A geologist with the U.S. Forest Service, she was last seen at approximately 2:00 p.m. leaving her residence on Kingswood Way, located at the base of Mount Elden.
