Just thinking about how Eric Woods spent his free time giving back to the community really hits me. This young man was coaching kids in basketball—what a positive influence he must have been for those children. It's tragic to see someone so invested in bettering others' lives taken away in such a senseless act of violence. Eric seemed like he was on the right path, juggling work and community activities, and it's devastating not only for his family but for all those kids who looked up to him. I really hope that someone with information about the case steps up. His family and the community deserve closure and justice, and these kids deserve to have a role model like him in their lives. His story is a reminder of how much we lose when a life is unjustly cut short. My thoughts are with Monique and her family—no one should have to go through this pain.
