Does anyone else find it strange that Monica once said she’d "explain later" to her mother? This feels like a huge clue that might point to someone specific or something that happened shortly before she disappeared. If she was scared enough to refuse to go with her mom, there had to have been a significant threat. What do you all think she might have known or been involved in that made her so afraid? It seems like she might have been planning to meet someone that night or was maybe worried about encountering someone in Amarillo. I wonder if any witnesses from that day saw or heard anything unusual in the area where she was last seen. It’s puzzling and sad that we still don’t have answers after all these years. Hope her family finds closure someday.
