Has anyone looked into the environmental conditions around Gore when Mary Friend went missing? I read somewhere that during December 1999, there were significant weather changes, and I’m curious if severe weather might have played a role in obscuring any evidence or made searches more difficult. Sometimes, things like heavy rain or snow can really impede initial search efforts and make it easier for clues to get overlooked. I wonder if any of the original search areas could be revisited with today's technology, like advanced ground-penetrating radar or drones. It might be worth considering if those areas were affected by weather at the time. Maybe it could help find new leads in her case after all these years. Thoughts?
Hi everyone,
I’ve been following the Mary Friend case for a while now, and something that really stands out to me is the role that local media played back in 1999. I think it’s amazing how quickly they got involved to help spread the word. It’s clear that the close-knit community in Gore knew how important it was to get the message out there. Does anyone have insights into how media coverage has evolved in this case over the years? Have there been any new efforts to reignite interest as time has passed? I feel like keeping Mary's story in the public eye is crucial to finding any new leads.
