Anyone else find it strange how quickly someone could disappear without a trace right off a main road like Route 18? That area isn't exactly deserted, even back in 2000. I mean, would no one have noticed a woman getting out of a car after an argument and just vanishing? There's got to be someone out there who saw something, even if it seemed insignificant at the time. I've always wondered if there were any new developments on surveillance footage checks from nearby businesses or traffic cameras from that period. Seems like there might still be some untapped leads worth exploring, especially with all the advancements in technology since then. Any local folks have insights on the area or the case?
Does anyone else find the timeline in Debbie Melo's case a bit puzzling? I'm curious about why Luis waited between one and three days to report her missing. That's a significant gap, especially knowing that her belongings were still in his vehicle. ? If he truly believed she was in danger or lost, wouldn't his first instinct be to notify authorities? It makes me wonder what was happening during those days that we don't know about. Was he searching for her on his own, or did he think she might come back after cooling down? I can't get my head around whether this delay might have impacted the investigation early on or if something else was going on. Would love to hear others' thoughts!
