I'm really curious about the condition of Patrick Terrence Whalen's vehicle when it was found at Lake McDonald Lodge Restaurant. Did anyone hear if there were any personal items left inside, or if it looked like it had been there for a while before they discovered it? It's mentioned that his campsite appeared undisturbed since the previous fall, so I'm wondering if his car was found in a similar state. It seems unusual that a seasoned survivalist would just abandon his vehicle and gear like that. Given his struggles with paranoia, I'm also thinking about whether he might have intentionally gone off the grid. What do you all think? Could the state of his vehicle provide some insight into what might have been going on in his mind around the time he disappeared?
