I've been following the Ansel Lamone Piper case for years now, and one detail that's always puzzled me is how he was wearing such a distinctive outfit on the day he vanished—yet no substantial sightings or tips have been reported. His black Nike cap and those white sneakers should have been memorable to anyone who saw him. Does anyone know if there were any surveillance cameras around the 3600 block of Shelley Street back in 2001? Given how much technology has evolved since then, maybe there’s a chance some overlooked footage could be revisited. It’s strange how some cases have so little to go on despite seemingly being out in public during daylight hours. I just hope someone, somewhere remembers seeing him that day. Thoughts?
Has anyone heard about the case of Ansel Lamone Piper? Something that really puzzles me is why there haven't been any significant leads or updates since he disappeared over 20 years ago. I can't help but wonder what efforts have been made to keep the public engaged and aware of Ansel's case. Given it's been so long, do you think new technology might eventually uncover something that wasn't possible to detect at the time? It's just baffling how someone can vanish like that without a trace. If anyone from the Baton Rouge area is here, I'd be curious to know if there were any events or significant happenings in the neighborhood around that time that might be relevant.
I've been following Ansel Lamone Piper's case for a while now, and something I found intriguing is the location where he was last seen. Shelley Street isn't that long, so I've been wondering if anyone who lived or worked nearby at that time might have noticed anything unusual. The street's pretty residential, so did anyone see him talking to someone or maybe getting into a vehicle? Even the smallest detail could help. If anyone remembers any sort of activity from that day, it might be worth sharing with the authorities. Piper seems to have just disappeared into thin air, and cases like this make me think there's got to be more to it. Any locals here who recall what it was like around the neighborhood back then?
