Has anyone looked into local construction or road work around Highland and Mason during the time Howard went missing? I was reading up on some old cases, and sometimes these areas can hold clues. It's possible someone working in the area or transporting materials might've seen something. Not suggesting foul play, but maybe Howard wandered somewhere he shouldn’t have. Just a thought since he was dealing with Alzheimer's. Would be interesting if anyone local remembers what was going on around that time.
Has anyone else looked into the possibility that Howard might have wandered into one of the wooded areas around Greer? I know he was familiar with the neighborhood, but with Alzheimer's, maybe he got disoriented on a usual walk. Highland and Mason Streets are pretty close to some dense areas, as far as I can remember. I read someone mentioning that local searches were extensive back in 2001, but I keep wondering if there was any focus on nearby trails or less-traveled spots that someone might overlook? Given his condition and the fact that he had emphysema, it’s heart-wrenching to think he could have gotten lost and wasn't able to get back. Maybe it's a wild theory, but could one of these spots hold some overlooked clues?
Hey everyone, I've been looking into William "Howard" McSwain's case lately, and I've been particularly puzzled by something. In cases like these, it's not uncommon for folks like Howard, who had Alzheimer's, to become disoriented and end up wandering far from home. But what's strange to me is that there's no indication he was seen by anyone else walking beyond that immediate neighborhood. I feel like someone had to have seen something back then - even if they didn't realize it was important at the time.
It’s possible that somebody noticed a man in an aqua blue and white striped shirt that day and thought he was just out for a stroll. Or maybe a store owner or bystander might remember seeing Howard around Highland and Mason Streets. Isn't it worth checking if there were any unsolved car accidents or incidents around that time in the area? If anyone hasn't yet, it might be helpful to look into any such records or reports from that period. Given the weather conditions or neighborhood foot traffic, could insights from locals back in 2001 bring something useful to light?
I know it's a long shot after all these years, but similar clues have helped crack cases in the past. Maybe someone from Greer from back in the day might remember seeing him, or perhaps hearing about an Alzheimer’s patient wandering off and not connecting it with Howard specifically. It just seems odd there's such a blank slate after he was last seen. Thoughts, anyone?
