William Howard McSwain, 75 years old, was last seen on September 25, 2001, in Greer, South Carolina. McSwain, who went by his middle name "Howard," was walking near his residence in the area of Highland and Mason Streets when he disappeared. He suffered from emphysema, requiring an oxygen bottle and medication, and he was believed to be in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease at the time.
