In the late summer of 2001, a sense of unease settled over a community in Greer, South Carolina, with the disappearance of a 75-year-old man named William Howard McSwain. Known to his loved ones as Howard, he was a familiar sight in his neighborhood. On September 25th, he was last seen walking near his home in the vicinity of Highland and Mason Street.
