I've always been unsettled by the fact that so many years have passed without justice for Manuel Guardado and his family. I was looking at some old news clippings about the case today, and it struck me how little attention this case has gotten over the years. Manuel was just out for what should have been a fun night with friends—can you imagine the shock and fear they must have experienced when they were ambushed like that? It’s awful that someone could pull the trigger and take a life so abruptly, leaving behind a trail of pain that still lingers today. What's really been bugging me is the idea that this might have been a targeted attack. If anyone out there remembers hearing anything back then, or maybe saw something related to that Oldsmobile, it could make a world of difference. I truly hope someone out there finds the courage to speak up. It’s never too late to help bring peace to Manuel’s loved ones who have been left with so many unanswered questions.
