I’ve been following Darryl Crosby’s case for a while, and one aspect that keeps sticking out to me is the location of his apartment at 100 Hyman Place. It’s always struck me as a bit odd that no one seemed to notice or hear anything in such a seemingly populated area, even if it was on the third floor. I know these older buildings can sometimes have thick walls, but it feels like someone should’ve seen or heard something suspicious. It's tragic that the violence in the Hill District during that time overshadowed this case, and it makes me think about the potential for witnesses who might have walked through that area and not realized the significance of what they saw. I really hope more people from the neighborhood come forward with anything, even if it’s just a small detail. Thinking of Darryl’s family and friends as they continue to seek answers.
Hey everyone,
I came across the case of Darryl Crosby from the Hill District, and something's really stuck with me. It's just so tragic how the social worker was the one to find him. Can you imagine the emotional toll that must have taken on them, just doing their job, thinking it would be a routine visit? It's a reminder of those often-unseen roles people play in our communities. And with the case still unsolved, it must be a constant weight. I hope they’re getting the support they need too because cases like these impact so many lives.
If anyone's local to Pittsburgh, do you remember what the community response was like at the time? Did it spark any changes or rallies for more safety measures in the area?
Thanks for sharing any info or thoughts you might have.
Take care,

Hey folks, I've been diving into the unsolved case of Darryl Crosby, and something's been on my mind. Does anyone else find it odd that despite being in a populated area, no one reported hearing or seeing anything suspicious around the time of his murder? It's really puzzling that a crime like this could occur without any neighbors noticing. I know buildings can vary in how sound travels, but it just feels like there should have been some kind of commotion or evidence left behind. My heart goes out to Mr. Crosby’s family; I can't imagine how hard it must be not having answers all these years. If anyone here is local or remembers the area during that time, I'd love to hear your thoughts or insights. Maybe there's something small that could piece together the larger puzzle. Thanks for keeping this conversation alive; hopefully, justice will be served one day.
