Has anyone else here looked into the other unsolved cases in Philly from 2009? I was doing some research on Robert Whitmore's murder after reading about it, and I noticed there's a whole string of cases that still have no resolution. It's frustrating and deeply saddening to see so many families left in limbo. I can't imagine the pain and distress of losing someone in such a violent way, coupled with the inability to find peace or answers. I wonder if there's a common thread or if it was just the chaos of those times. I hope that one day the advancements in forensic tech might help bring some clarity to Robert's family and others affected by that wave of violence. Does anyone else have thoughts on this or know of any recent updates?
Hey everyone,
I've been digging into Robert Whitmore's case, and something that really stands out to me is the location where his body was found. North Broad Street was known for its high crime rate back in 2009, but it also served as a bustling part of the city. It's so unsettling to think that amidst all the activity, someone could meet such a tragic end and go unnoticed for so long.
I've read several accounts from people who lived in the area at the time, and the general vibe was one of fear and uncertainty. Many residents felt like their neighborhoods were under siege from the escalating violence. I can't help but wonder if any potential witnesses were too afraid to come forward back then. It just seems so challenging for investigators to get the info they need in environments where people don't feel safe speaking up.
If anyone has more context or remembers hearing something from that time, it would be great to share. Robert's family deserves to know that there's still interest in finding out what happened to him. Communities can make a difference when we come together and support each other.
Stay safe, everyone.
I just came across some old news about Robert Whitmore's tragic death back in 2009, and it's got me questioning the security situation around North Broad Street during that time period. Does anyone else remember if there were any specific initiatives or community efforts to address the violence in that area? It must have been so tough for those living in the community, constantly on edge. I'm also wondering if Robert's case saw any updates over the years or if his family received any support to help cope with such a terrible loss. It's frustrating to think about how many cases remain unsolved from that year and feel for the families who are still waiting for answers. Would love to hear thoughts or insights from anyone familiar with Philly's history during those days.
