Does anyone else find it strange that James Wiggins had an umbrella with him when he left for the grocery store? I checked the weather records for Ruston on December 21, 2002, and it apparently wasn't raining that morning. I know some people carry umbrellas just in case, but it still seems like an odd detail to me, especially since it was morning. It's such a small thing, but I can't help but wonder if it was somehow connected to wherever he ended up after leaving. Maybe he planned to walk quite a distance that day, or he was meeting someone outside? Feels like this tiny detail could mean something more, especially since it's one of the last few things we know about him before he vanished. Thoughts?
Has anyone else found it strange that James was reportedly seen buying cigarettes the day after he disappeared? If that was really him, why was he out there miles away, seemingly off his planned route, and with no contact with his family? It doesn't make sense unless he intended to vanish or was convinced to go somewhere by someone else. The store owner couldn't recall if he was with anyone or if he came on foot, which just deepens the mystery. It's almost as if he was trying to keep a low profile, but why? Could it be anxiety or pressure we don’t know about? If James really was in trouble, why not ask for help right then and there? Maybe there’s something in his life that hasn't been uncovered yet. Thoughts?
