William LeRoy "Bill" Douglas's case has haunted me since I first read about it. I’m particularly intrigued by the fact that he answered the door during that phone call with his mother but never returned. I wonder who it could have been. It’s peculiar that someone introduced themselves at that moment and nothing seemed suspicious enough to leave immediate tracks. Bill's family being left in the dark is truly concerning because there were no signs of any forced entry or struggle at the farm. The fact that his bank accounts showed no activity after he disappeared is also puzzling. It’s like he vanished into thin air, yet everything in his life remained untouched. Does anyone know if there was any further investigation into phone records or neighbors’ accounts from that day? It's hard to believe that no one saw another vehicle or person at his farm during daylight hours. Could there be any missing information overlooked by authorities during the early days of the search?
