I’ve been reading about Linzy “Bugsy” Pierson’s case, and one thing that keeps nagging at me is the killer's audacity. The fact that the suspect shot Bugsy, then stood over him and continued firing, speaks to a level of ruthlessness that’s chilling. It’s hard to understand how someone could have that much disregard for human life in such a public setting. My heart goes out to Bugsy’s friends and family, enduring the pain of not having answers after all this time. What’s more frustrating is the bravery of the witnesses who came forward, yet justice still hasn’t been served. We often see these random, cold instances of violence, but it always feels deeply personal when you think of Bugsy’s face and life being cut short in such a brutal manner. I still hope someone comes forward with information that’ll bring resolution to Bugsy’s loved ones.
