I’ve been reading about Delfonte Ellis’s case, and I can’t stop thinking about the tight-knit community he was a part of at the University of Pittsburgh. It seems like he wasn’t just a worker at Scaife Hall; he was a familiar face and a reliable presence for many students and faculty members. It’s unsettling that someone who was clearly valued and appreciated in his workplace met such a violent end.
The fact that no suspects have been identified yet is really frustrating, especially since these unsolved cases leave families with no closure. It makes you wonder about the level of support and resources dedicated to solving these crimes, especially ones happening in areas struggling with crime and safety. Delfonte’s murder is a reminder of the very real people affected by the rise in violence during that period in Pittsburgh. Sending thoughts and strength to his family and hoping for justice soon. If anyone has any insights or updates, please share.
