I keep circling back to the location where Ray's truck was found. It’s intriguing that it was near Valley of Fire State Park, right off I-15. This area can be incredibly disorienting, especially for someone with Alzheimer's. If he left his truck voluntarily, it makes me wonder what direction he might have headed or if he was trying to find help. Given the timeframe, it's possible he could’ve accepted a ride from a passerby, but if that happened, where did he go after that? The location just raises so many questions. Was he drawn to the park, or did something happen on that frontage road that we’re unaware of? Anyone else familiar with the area that could share more insight?

Has anyone else thought about the people who might have driven past Shurtz's truck on that frontage road near Valley of Fire State Park? If witnesses reported seeing the truck as early as November 28, that's a couple of days where someone might've seen something unusual or maybe even Dean himself if he was still around. It feels like a long shot after all these years, but maybe someone snapped a picture or mentioned it to a friend. I know memories can get fuzzy over time, but sometimes people recall details later on that didn't seem important at first. It's a weird coincidence that such a busy area didn't yield more clues. Makes me wonder if there's still hope someone out there might remember seeing him or his truck and lead to new insights.

I’ve been digging into the details of Raymond Dean Shurtz’s case and one thing that really stands out to me is the timing of everything. It’s so puzzling how his truck was spotted near Valley of Fire State Park just a couple of days after he went missing, but there’s no sign of him at all. It makes me wonder if perhaps he did take a ride from someone after the truck got stuck. I mean, what else could explain how his truck was left there without him? I’m curious if anyone’s looked into whether there were any reports of hitchhikers on I-15 around that time. It's just a thought, but with his Alzheimer’s, maybe he seemed disoriented and someone stopped to help. Anyone familiar with that stretch of highway and the kind of traffic it normally sees?
