Has anyone here looked into the timing of Shawntell Waites' disappearance compared to the known victims of the West Mesa murders? I've been trying to piece things together, and while Shawntell disappeared back in 2006, the bodies weren’t found until 2009, which makes me wonder about whoever was responsible and how long they might have been active. I've read that there were a number of similar disappearances in Albuquerque around that time, and it's hard not to see some kind of pattern. It’s puzzling why her case wasn't linked directly, even tentatively, to the West Mesa victims given the timing and circumstances. Could there have been other commonalities—like locations she frequented or people she knew—that could give us more clues? Her poor kids deserve to know what happened to their mom. Any locals with insights on these timelines?
