Hi everyone, I've been thinking a lot about Marquise Mccoy's case in the context of the larger issue of gun violence in Philadelphia, especially the impact it has on young people. It's so painful to see life after life cut short, and Marquise's story is one of too many. I recently read that during the time of his death in 2011, there were numerous cases just like his. It makes me wonder how much progress, if any, has been made since then in preventing these tragedies. Are there any new initiatives or community efforts in Philadelphia that focus on reducing gun violence? And importantly, do these programs involve the families of victims like Marquise to help shape better, community-focused solutions? My heart goes out to his loved ones who must still be searching for answers and hoping for justice. It would be amazing if we could share ideas here that might contribute to or support any ongoing efforts that aim to make a real difference.
