Has anyone else been struck by the odd inconsistencies in Jeanne's story about the day Mary disappeared? I understand that people under stress can misremember details, but the whole narrative about Mary possibly calling a taxi to head back to Pennsylvania seemed far-fetched given her condition. Coupled with Jeanne's later admission, it just seems like the initial story was crafted to mislead. I think it reflects some aspects of the case that investigators initially overlooked due to the focus on Mary's medical vulnerabilities. Given that her remains haven't been found, it makes you wonder if there are more secrets about that day that we don’t know yet. It’s heartbreaking for the family, but also a reminder of how layers of truth can unfold over time in these cases. Thoughts?
