Has anyone else been thinking about Daryl Wilkes' last known location at the QuikTrip in St. Peters? It's so puzzling to me that he was seen there and then vanished into thin air. I've been looking at maps trying to piece anything together. St. Peters is about an hour away from Florissant, where he was heading to see his girlfriend. It just seems odd that he ended up there so late into the evening. Did he take a wrong turn, detour, or something else entirely? And that dark green Hyundai Santa Fe he was driving has never turned up either. It's like it just vanished along with him. Anyone familiar with the area have any thoughts on what could have happened between the QuikTrip and Florissant? It's been way too long, and I'm hoping someone out there has some insight or remembers something that could help.

I came across the case of Daryl Alphonse Wilkes and something that's been bugging me is the QuikTrip footage from St. Peters on the night he disappeared. He was spotted around 10:30 p.m., but does anyone know what exactly he purchased? Sometimes items bought can give clues about one's state of mind or plans. It's odd that he traveled quite a ways from Jefferson City only to be seen again in St. Peters, which is on the way to Florissant but still a bit out of the way if he was staying on a direct route.
None of the details about what he bought have been made public, at least not that I’ve seen.
