I recently stumbled upon David Bretzman’s case and something that really gets me curious is the pocketknife and blue tarp he had with him. I mean, it seems like such an intentional decision to carry those specific items when heading out. Was he planning on setting up a shelter or something? It's just odd because more than just regular camping gear, a large blue tarp stands out. Could it have been for staying low-key in the wilderness, maybe? And does anyone know if there were any signs of him camping in the spot where they found the Jeep? The whole thing just doesn’t add up for me, especially how a whole vehicle can be missing for so long and then suddenly turn up without any new leads.
Hey everyone, I was just revisiting Bretzman's case, and I can't stop thinking about that Jeep! It's such a distinct vehicle with the bikini top and that quirky little 2-inch metal grasshopper on the dash. I'm curious if anyone else thinks this could have been a deliberate clue or if it has any connection to his disappearance? Maybe it was something dear to him, or perhaps there’s an underlying message? Cars can tell us a lot about a person, and this one seems unique. If anyone has theories or insights about the significance of the Jeep or its location, I'd love to hear them. Could we be missing something there?
Hey everyone,
I've been following Bretzman's case for a while now, and something that's really been sticking out to me is the fact that he took a large blue tarp with him. In my experience, a tarp can have so many uses when camping – shelter, ground cover, collecting water, etc. But it's almost like it's a clue pointing to his plans or intentions.
Considering he went all the way to the Bradshaw Mountains, do you think he might have planned to stay off the grid for a while? Especially since a tarp isn't the most obvious thing to take unless you're spending more than just a night. And given that the Jeep was only found months later, it makes me wonder if he had set up camp somewhere that hasn't yet been discovered.
Anyway, just thinking out loud. Anyone else have thoughts on the significance of the tarp or what it might suggest about his plans?
