Wow, Sherri Lee Truesdale's case has so many layers. I find it fascinating that she was supposed to start a scholarship program at Mount Tabor High School right after she disappeared. That fine-arts program might have been a huge opportunity for Sherri, and it got me thinking—did she ever mention it to friends or classmates? Maybe someone at the school knew something or noticed if she seemed worried or different before the program was set to start. It's just heartbreaking that such a promising young girl vanished on what seemed like a normal errand run. Anyone else think there could be a connection to her school life that was overlooked? ?
Does anyone else find it puzzling that Sherri was last seen at the department store around 4:30 p.m., but no one seems to recall anything unusual? We're talking about a young girl on a busy Saturday afternoon, probably carrying a shopping bag. With so many people around, surely someone would have seen or heard something. I've read that she was supposed to pick up some school supplies, donuts, and make a payment, so she was definitely running errands. Yet, no trail of receipts or purchased items ever came up in the investigation. It's like she just vanished. Makes you wonder if something happened right there in the store or shortly after. Has anyone else looked into the day-to-day operations at Rayless Department Store back in 1970? Maybe an employee or a regular shopper from back then might remember seeing something that didn't seem relevant at the time. Just a thought.
