Sherri Lee Truesdale, a 14-year-old from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, was last seen on June 13, 1970. That morning, Sherri left her home on Pitt Street around 11:30 a.m. to run errands. She planned to visit the mall to buy school supplies, pick up donuts for her sister, and make a payment on her mother’s account at Rayless Department Store. Witnesses confirmed she was last seen at the department store around 4:30 p.m., but she never returned home.
