I can't stop thinking about the fact that Deondre and Matthew were found in such a secluded spot behind a local school. It's incredibly frustrating and sad that this happened in a place that’s meant to be safe and encouraging for young people. It's a real reflection of how violence has seeped into every corner of some communities, including areas you wouldn’t expect. My heart goes out to the families who are left with so many questions. I can't imagine how painful it must be to not have answers or justice. It’s just tragic that no one has come forward with information that could help solve the case. I hope people in the neighborhood will be brave enough to break the silence, for Deondre and Matthew's sake. The community deserves safety and peace, and so do their loved ones. If anyone out there knows something, I can only plead that they reach out to the authorities to help give these families the closure they deserve.
Hey everyone,
I've been following the tragic case of Deondre Kenny and Matthew Todd Burton from Pittsburgh, and I can't stop thinking about what their families must be going through right now. The lack of answers is truly frustrating, especially considering how young Deondre was — just 15.
I've been reading some local reports and discussions, and it seems there might have been an increase in gang activity in that area just before this incident. It's hard to fathom the heightened tension the community must have been experiencing at the time. The fact that gun violence had escalated with 22 shots fired in a short period around Buena Vista Street is terrifying. I’m also curious if the police have any local community resources deployed to help bridge the gap between law enforcement and residents, beyond just increased patrols?
My heart goes out to both their families. It’s essential that the community comes together to push for progress in this case — maybe someone out there knows something that could finally bring justice for Deondre and Matthew. Hoping for some closure for everyone involved soon. Stay safe out there, everyone.
