Hey everyone, I'm new here but I recently stumbled across April Rose Zane's case from 1977, and it's really got my mind racing. I've been digging through some old yearbooks and community records, and it strikes me as odd that there were no notable sightings or leads in the weeks and months after she vanished, especially given her distinct appearance. For those who aren't aware, April had vibrant red hair and was known for her freckles, so you’d think she would stand out a bit more in public memory. I'm curious if anyone knows whether the media back then ran any stories right away, or if it took a while for the case to gain traction? It seems possible that crucial early attention could have been missed—it's hard to imagine that someone with such a unique look just vanished without a trace. Just wondering if anyone here remembers what the initial community response was like, or any other details that might have gone under the radar?
