Hey everyone,
I was recently reading up on James Galloway's case and came across something interesting about the search efforts from 1979. Apparently, there were several reports from locals who saw a suspicious vehicle near one of the parks James often visited around the time he disappeared. This detail seems to have been overlooked, as there wasn't much follow-up or press coverage about it back then.
It makes me wonder if any information about that vehicle could still be out there, just waiting for the right person to remember or come forward. Maybe someone has forgotten details that were trivial at the time but could now be key. Considering that this was a small, tight-knit community, one would think someone might have seen something or might recognize what vehicle I'm talking about.
Has anyone else heard of this lead before, or is this something that wasn't really pursued by the authorities? It feels like a potential angle that might shed some new light if we dig into local records or old eyewitness accounts.
Hoping there are others who have more details or can help piece this puzzle together.
I came across James Galloway’s case recently and was struck by the dedication his family has shown over the years. One thing that stands out to me is how they’ve kept the community engaged in raising awareness—even decades later. It’s not easy to keep a case like this in the public eye for so long, especially when leads go cold. Hosting vigils and organizing events after so many years must take an incredible amount of strength and persistence. Has anyone else been to similar events for other missing person cases? It would be interesting to hear how they tend to make an impact and if they’ve helped bring any new information to light. Also, if anyone in Lewisport has more details or memories from back in 1979, it could be valuable to discuss what the community atmosphere was like back then.
