I've always been baffled by the lack of attention Jovonna Stacey Crawford’s case has received over the years. I understand there were fewer resources available back in 1981, but it seems like her story slipped through the cracks somehow. One thing that stood out to me was the description of the supposed boy who picked her up. It's hard to believe that no one in the neighborhood recognized or could identify a local kid fitting that description, especially in a tight-knit community like the P. T. Barnum Housing Project. Was there ever a sketch made of this boy, or did they try to identify him through local schools? It's so frustrating, and I wonder what more could have been done back then to track him down or verify his existence. Does anyone have any insights or additional thoughts on this aspect of the case?
